As one of the organizers of this training day, I invited DCPF to give a lecture discussing the vulnerability of Charity organizations (in this case: Rotary).
Priorly, DCPF researched everyday occurrences at Rotary, this way, they managed to make examples as recognizable as possible for the participants.
Every instance cited by DCPF started off quite innocently. In fact, it showcased all the good intentions that a Rotary club possesses in accomplishing a great project in their region or even internationally. Then, they reshaped these examples to create a fictional situation where people with criminal intentions can abuse Rotary’s good intentions.
Considering the reactions this garnered from the audience, it quickly became clear what hidden dangers lurk in amiability!
Besides, by obtaining sheets and a short instructional film, others within the organisation, not only those present at the lecture, can be informed and benefit from this talk – forewarned is forearmed. Hence, reducing the risk of becoming unwittingly involved.
